Environment and Ethics

Your Environment & Ethics (E&E) rep is eager to make Trinity a beacon of environmental and ethical awareness, and would love to hear your ideas, so email them with any you may have. E & E covers everything from recycling and utilities in college to blood donation and Fairtrade.

A major current environmental issue is the introduction of a wider range of recycling bins into all student rooms (on and of site). Here is a handy guide produced by your E&E rep to what you can and can't recycle in college-owned accomodation.

In support of ethical causes, the JCR has recently been collecting food for a local food bank, and encouraging its members to sign up for bone marrow and blood donation under the catchy title 'A pint for a pint', where JCR members can earn a free pint from the beer cellar by donating a pint of blood. For more details on any of these, have a look at the E&E facebook page, which you can gain access to by emailing the E&E rep.

Trinity also supports numerous charities, for details of all of these, take a look at the agenda and minutes from the final JCR meeting of each term. This is our dedicated charities
meeting, and is funded by an opt-out levy of all JCR students. To submit a charity for consideration of a JCR donation, get in touch with the JCR secretary. For details of other charities in Oxford you can get involved in, have a look at the useful links below.
